The BSC PREFERRED EN1008 is a reusable clasp envelope built for repeated use in high-volume document handling environments. Reinforced metal clasps allow the envelope to be opened and resealed multiple times without damaging the envelope body. When a permanent seal is needed, the gummed flap can be moistened and pressed closed for a secure bond. Constructed from strong 28 lb woven kraft stock, these envelopes hold up to regular handling, transit stress, and filing cycles. Sold in cases of 500, they are well suited for offices, warehouses, and facilities that process large quantities of internal or outbound documents.
These envelopes are used wherever reusable, secure document containment is required. Common applications include internal routing of paperwork between departments, mailing documents that require a professional presentation, and archiving materials that need to be accessed and resealed periodically. The combination of a metal clasp and a gummed flap gives users two independent closure options on the same envelope, making them practical for both interoffice and external mail workflows.
Designed as a standard clasp envelope replacement compatible with general interoffice and external mailing applications. Product is equivalent to part number S-6283.
No tools are required to use these envelopes. To activate the gummed flap seal, moisten the glue strip evenly and press the flap firmly against the envelope body, then allow adequate drying time before stacking or processing. Do not over-moisten the gummed strip, as excess moisture can weaken the adhesive bond. Metal clasps should be bent flat before inserting into automated mail processing equipment to avoid equipment jams.
