The BSC PREFERRED ECTRU32179LTC is a 40/60 double bowl undermount kitchen sink kit built from 18-gauge Type 304 stainless steel. It features two rectangular bowls — a smaller bowl at 12 inches in length and a larger bowl at 17 inches in length, both 9 inches deep — giving installers a high-capacity basin configuration suited to residential kitchen remodels and new construction. The undermount design creates a flush transition between the sink deck and countertop surface, eliminating the raised lip common to drop-in models. Full spray sound-deadening pads and undercoating are applied to the underside of both bowls to reduce vibration and noise during use.
This sink kit is designed for residential kitchen installations where a 36-inch minimum cabinet opening is available. The 40/60 bowl split accommodates simultaneous tasks such as soaking and washing. Tight corner radii and a flat bowl bottom maximize usable interior volume, making it practical for large cookware. Both bowls drain through a 3-1/2 inch rear center drain opening, which preserves under-cabinet storage space and maintains compatibility with standard garbage disposals. A cutout template is included to guide countertop fabrication. The kit ships complete with two custom-fit bottom grids, two deep strainer drains, Bar Keepers Friend cleanser, and a microfiber towel packed in a protective cloth bag.
Requires a minimum 36-inch base cabinet opening. Both drain openings accept standard 3-1/2 inch strainer drains and are compatible with standard residential garbage disposals. Part of the BSC PREFERRED Crosstown Collection.
Undermount sink installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber or an experienced kitchen installer working alongside a countertop fabricator. Power down and isolate the water supply lines before beginning any sink swap or rough-in work. Use the included cutout template to mark the countertop opening precisely before cutting — countertop material type will dictate the appropriate cutting tools and adhesive or mounting clip system. Verify local plumbing code requirements, including IPC guidelines, for drain rough-in depth and trap configuration before finalizing the installation.
