The BSC PREFERRED DS1012 is a case of 100 moisture barrier bags engineered to protect electronic components from damage caused by moisture vapor transmission and electrostatic discharge. Each bag features multi-layer construction that provides both a moisture barrier and static shielding in a single package. The bags are heat sealable and suitable for vacuum packaging applications, making them a practical choice for electronics packaging lines, depot-level repair facilities, and field service operations where long-term component storage is required.
These bags are intended for commercial use in packaging and shipping environments where sensitive electronic assemblies, PCBs, connectors, and similar components must be stored or transported safely. Each case contains 100 bags. The product is noted as equivalent to part number S-6499. It is not listed on the Qualified Product Listing under the Defense Standardization Program and is not intended for defense procurement applications.
Designed for commercial packaging of sensitive electronic components including PCBs, integrated circuits, connectors, and assemblies requiring combined moisture and static protection. Equivalent to part number S-6499.
These bags are handled by packaging technicians, electronics assemblers, and field service personnel. Before sealing, ensure components are dry and free of contaminants that could compromise the barrier seal. Use a calibrated heat sealer set to the appropriate temperature and dwell time for the bag material to achieve a consistent, airtight seal. For vacuum packaging, follow equipment manufacturer guidelines to avoid damaging sensitive components during the evacuation cycle.
