The BSC PREFERRED DRKR25224 is an 18-gauge Type 304 stainless steel drop-in sink designed for classroom, commercial, and institutional settings. The single-bowl configuration measures 25 inches in length by 22 inches in width with a 7.625-inch bowl depth, providing generous working space for cleaning, lab activities, and general use. Sound-deadening pads are applied to the underside to reduce vibration and noise during operation. The lustrous satin finish resists everyday scratches and maintains appearance under heavy-duty use. The DRKR25224 is manufactured in the USA and weighs 16 pounds, making it manageable for a single installer.
This sink is intended for drop-in installation in educational facilities, commercial kitchens, and similar institutional environments. The required minimum cabinet size is 30 inches. The countertop cutout dimension is 24.375 inches by 21.375 inches. Four faucet holes are pre-drilled for flexible plumbing configurations. The 3.5-inch drain opening is compatible with standard garbage disposals. Included mounting hardware accommodates countertops up to 0.75 inches thick. The U-channel mounting design reduces time spent working underneath the counter during installation.
Designed as a drop-in replacement or new-installation sink for countertop openings of 24.375 inches by 21.375 inches in cabinets with a minimum 30-inch base width. Accepts countertops up to 0.75 inches thick using the included hardware. Drain connects to standard 3.5-inch basket strainer assemblies.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the water supply and disconnect existing drain lines before removing any existing sink or beginning countertop cutout work. Apply a continuous bead of silicone sealant around the perimeter of the cutout before seating the sink to ensure a watertight seal. Do not overtighten the mounting clips, as this can distort the sink rim or damage laminate countertops.
