The BSC PREFERRED DRKADQ2517652LM is an ADA-compliant, single-bowl drop-in sink constructed from 18-gauge Type 304 stainless steel and engineered for demanding classroom and educational facility environments. The rectangular bowl measures 16 inches in length and 13.5 inches in width, with an overall sink footprint of 25 inches by 17 inches and a bowl depth of 6.5 inches. A rear center drain placement maximizes usable bowl space and improves under-sink storage clearance. Sound-deadening material applied to the underside reduces noise during heavy use. This sink is installed by licensed plumbers or qualified facilities maintenance personnel.
This sink is designed for drop-in installation above laminate countertops using the included Quick-Clip mounting hardware, which is compatible with countertop thicknesses up to 0.75 inches. A minimum cabinet width of 30 inches is required. The offset rear drain accepts a standard 3.5-inch drain assembly and is compatible with standard garbage disposals. The polished grain stainless finish is repairable: light surface scratches blend into the finish over time, and deeper scratches can be addressed using a BSC PREFERRED restoration kit. This model is well suited for K-12 classrooms, vocational labs, and similar educational or institutional settings where ADA accessibility compliance is required.
Designed for drop-in installation into countertop cutouts with a minimum cabinet width of 30 inches. Mounting hardware included is compatible with countertops up to 0.75 inches thick. The 3.5-inch drain opening is compatible with standard garbage disposal flanges and drain assemblies.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the water supply and disconnect any existing drain connections before beginning work. Apply a continuous bead of silicone sealant around the countertop cutout perimeter before dropping the sink into position, then secure using the provided Quick-Clip fasteners. Do not overtighten mounting clips, as this may distort the sink flange or damage the countertop substrate.
