The BSC PREFERRED DIB50PCLF is a quarter-turn angle shut-off valve designed for residential and light commercial plumbing supply lines. It connects a 3/8-inch female iron pipe (FIP) inlet to a 3/8-inch OD compression outlet, making it a direct-fit solution for water supply stop applications. The valve features a corrosion-resistant ball mechanism that allows full open or full close in a 90-degree handle rotation. Chrome finish provides durability and a clean appearance for exposed under-sink or behind-toilet installations. Lead content on wetted surfaces is manufactured to no more than 0.25% weighted average, meeting current federal lead-free standards for drinking water applications.
This angle valve is suited for residential kitchen and bathroom installations, commonly used as a supply stop for faucets, toilets, and similar fixtures. The compression outlet end accepts standard 3/8-inch OD supply tubes without soldering, making it a practical choice for retrofit work where a straight mechanical connection is preferred. Licensed plumbers and qualified service technicians typically install this fitting during new rough-in work or when replacing a failed or outdated stop valve on an existing supply line.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation angle stop for residential plumbing supply lines utilizing a 3/8-inch FIP inlet connection and a 3/8-inch OD compression supply tube outlet.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the main water supply and relieve line pressure before removing any existing valve. Ensure the FIP threads are clean and use an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape on the inlet connection. Do not overtighten the compression nut, as this can deform the ferrule and cause leaks.
