The BSC PREFERRED DIB23862 is a flexible vinyl water supply connector designed for residential faucet and toilet supply line installations. It features a 1/2 inch female iron pipe (FIP) connection on one end for faucet shanks and a 3/8 inch OD compression fitting on the other end for standard supply valves. The tubing is constructed with two layers of NSF and FDA certified polymer reinforced with polyester braiding, producing a kink-free, flexible connector suitable for both hot and cold water service. The inner lining is a nontoxic synthetic polymer rated for water temperatures from 5 degrees F to 230 degrees F. Licensed plumbers and qualified installers use this connector in residential fixture hookups where a reliable, code-compliant supply line is required.
This connector is used in residential plumbing applications to link shut-off valves to faucets and toilets. The 3/8 inch OD compression end seats directly onto standard angle stop or straight stop supply valves. The 1/2 inch FIP end threads onto faucet shanks. Each connector ships complete and ready to install. No additional washers, rings, inserts, or sleeves are required. A color-coded flag label is included: green for faucet hookup and yellow for toilet hookup, helping installers working on multiple fixtures at once keep connections organized and avoid mix-ups.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement supply connector for residential faucet shank and toilet supply valve installations using 1/2 inch FIP faucet connections and 3/8 inch OD compression supply valve outlets.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified tradesperson in accordance with local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off the water supply at the stop valve and relieve line pressure before removing the existing connector. Hand-tighten the compression nut onto the supply valve first, then use an appropriately sized open-end wrench to snug the fitting — do not overtighten, as the brass insert and compression seat can be damaged by excessive torque. Inspect both connections for leaks after restoring water pressure before closing up the cabinet.
