The BSC PREFERRED CTUV11120 is a pack of 100 black, UV-stabilized nylon cable ties designed for permanent fastening of cords, cables, bags, and similar items in outdoor or sun-exposed environments. The black colorant is fully integrated into the nylon to provide resistance against UV degradation, making these ties suitable for continuous or extended outdoor exposure where standard natural-colored ties would become brittle and fail. Each tie features a one-way locking mechanism that cinches tight and resists tampering or accidental release. These are a staple for electricians, HVAC techs, and general contractors who need reliable, long-lasting bundling solutions in exposed installations.
These cable ties are appropriate for residential and commercial applications where bundles of wire, conduit runs, bags, or flexible materials need to be secured in locations subject to sunlight, moisture, or temperature swings. Common install scenarios include outdoor electrical panels, rooftop HVAC equipment tie-downs, landscape lighting wire management, and perimeter security installations. The UV-stabilized formulation specifically targets applications where standard nylon would degrade within one to two seasons. Sold in a case of 100 ties per unit of measure.
Designed as a general-purpose UV-stabilized cable tie compatible with standard bundling and fastening applications in outdoor or UV-exposed environments. Listed as equivalent to part number S-14039.
Cable ties of this type are installed by hand or with a cable tie tensioning tool and require no special licensing. When deploying in electrical applications, follow applicable NEC guidelines for securing and supporting conductors. Once a tie is cinched and locked, it must be cut to remove - the one-way locking head is not reversible. Use flush-cut diagonal pliers to trim excess tail without leaving a sharp edge that could contact wiring insulation.
