The BSC PREFERRED CTSS2018 is an outdoor-rated cable tie designed for use in harsh environmental conditions. These self-locking ties are built to secure wires, cables, and pipes in exterior applications where exposure to moisture, temperature swings, or UV light demands a more durable fastening solution. Sold in a case of 100, they suit high-volume electrical and mechanical work where consistent, reliable bundling is required. Licensed electricians, HVAC technicians, and plumbers reach for weather-resistant cable ties when routing runs in exposed locations such as rooftop equipment, exterior conduit, or outdoor utility panels.
These cable ties are suited for residential and light commercial applications wherever wiring, piping, or cable bundles need to be organized and secured outdoors. Typical install scenarios include securing low-voltage wiring to exterior equipment, bundling refrigerant line insulation, or organizing cable runs in unconditioned spaces. The self-locking head design eliminates the need for additional fasteners or tools to set the tie once seated. The CTSS2018 is equivalent to part number S-13606.
Designed as an outdoor-rated cable tie replacement equivalent to part number S-13606. Suitable for general wire and cable bundling applications in exterior or harsh-environment installations.
Cable ties can be installed by electricians, HVAC technicians, plumbers, or other trades performing exterior wire and pipe management. Power down circuits before securing wires to energized equipment. Thread the tie tail through the locking head and pull firmly until the desired tension is achieved. Trim excess tail flush with the locking head to avoid snag points.
