The BSC PREFERRED CT18120 is a general-purpose nylon cable tie designed to permanently secure cords, cables, bags, hoses, and similar bundled materials in trade and industrial applications. Constructed from 6.6 nylon, these ties are engineered to lock tight and resist stretching or sliding once cinched. The tamper-proof locking mechanism holds its grip under typical mechanical and thermal stress encountered in HVAC, electrical, and plumbing service environments. Each case contains 100 ties, making this an efficient stocking item for field technicians and shop inventory alike.
These cable ties are suited for a broad range of general-purpose bundling and securing tasks across residential and light commercial jobsites. Common applications include wire harness management in electrical panels and control cabinets, securing refrigerant line insulation, bundling low-voltage control wiring, and organizing plumbing supply lines. They are also used in packaging and shipping operations for bag closure and bundle containment. The 6.6 nylon material provides adequate resistance to common shop chemicals and moderate temperature ranges found in most service environments.
Designed as a general-purpose cable tie suitable for wire bundling, cord management, and bag securing across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and packaging applications. Equivalent to part number S-12380.
Cable ties of this type are installed by hand or with a standard cable tie installation tool to achieve consistent tension without over-cinching. When used on electrical wiring, follow NEC guidelines for allowable bundling of conductors and maintain appropriate separation from heat sources. Trim excess tail flush with the locking head using diagonal cutters to eliminate sharp edges that can cause injury during subsequent service. Once locked, these ties are not reusable and must be cut for removal.
