The BSC PREFERRED CP1824 is a chipboard pad designed for use as an envelope stiffener and protective layer in packaging applications. Constructed from sturdy kraft fiberboard made from recycled paper, these pads provide reliable rigidity to keep envelopes and flat shipments from bending in transit. They are also placed as a top layer inside cartons to shield contents from box cutters and knives during opening. Sold in a case quantity of 190 pads, the CP1824 is a practical consumable for shipping departments, warehouse operations, and fulfillment centers handling flat or document-style shipments.
These chipboard pads are suited for light industrial and commercial packaging environments where envelope integrity and surface protection are routine requirements. Typical applications include inserting pads behind documents, photos, or artwork in mailers, and topping off carton contents before sealing to reduce damage risk during unboxing. The recycled kraft fiberboard construction makes them a common choice for operations with sustainability considerations. Each case contains 190 pads, supporting high-volume daily use without frequent reordering.
Designed as a standard chipboard envelope stiffener and carton top-layer pad for general commercial and light industrial packaging use. Listed as equivalent to part number S-14210.
No tools or trade licensing are required to use these pads. Insert pads into envelopes or mailers flat against the document or item being shipped, or place as a top layer inside a sealed carton before closing. Store cases flat in a dry location to prevent warping or moisture absorption that could reduce pad stiffness.
