Bsc Preferred 700568 Blue Polyethylene Tarp 6x8 Ft

Product Description

The BSC PREFERRED 700568 is a medium-duty blue polyethylene tarp measuring 6 feet by 8 feet, built for general-purpose covering and weather protection across job sites, storage applications, and maintenance work. Constructed with a 10x8 weave pattern and lamination on both sides, the poly material delivers solid resistance to moisture and light abrasion. The tarp is treated to resist UV degradation, extending its usable life when left exposed to direct sunlight. A polypropylene rope is heat-sealed into the peripheral hem for added edge strength. Polycarbonate grommets are spaced every 3 feet around the perimeter, giving installers and service crews secure tie-down points for fastening with bungees, rope, or wire.

This tarp is suited for outdoor and indoor use wherever a lightweight, weather-resistant cover is needed. Common applications include covering HVAC equipment during transport or storage, protecting materials on a job site, temporary weatherproofing of rooftop or mechanical room penetrations during service calls, and general equipment protection. The medium-duty designation makes it appropriate for short-term or repeated seasonal use rather than permanent or heavy-load applications.

Key Features

• 10x8 polyethylene weave with lamination on both sides for moisture resistance
• UV treatment extends service life under direct sun exposure
• Polypropylene rope heat-sealed into the hem for reinforced edges
• Durable weatherproof polycarbonate grommets every 3 feet around the perimeter
• Medium-duty construction suitable for repeated seasonal or short-term use

Installation Notes

Secure the tarp using the perimeter grommets with rope, bungee cords, or wire ties rated for the expected load and wind conditions. Ensure the tarp lies flat without pooling water at low points, which can accelerate wear and add unintended weight. No special tools are required for deployment, but gloves are recommended when working with rope or tie-downs in cold conditions.
