The BSC PREFERRED 248C is an insulated shipping kit designed to protect temperature-sensitive products during transit. Each kit includes a pre-assembled 200/ECT-32 white corrugated carton paired with a seamless molded EPS foam container and a tight-fitting lid. The EPS foam liner provides thermal insulation to maintain required temperature ranges throughout the shipping process. The kit arrives pre-assembled for fast pack-out and is light enough to minimize overall shipment weight. Cartons are printed with Rush, Perishable, and This Side Up shipping instructions to communicate handling requirements to carriers and receiving staff.
The 248C is suited for shipping perishable goods, biologics, food products, pharmaceuticals, and other items with strict temperature constraints. The corrugated outer carton meets 200/ECT-32 burst and edge-crush standards, making it appropriate for standard parcel carrier handling. The assembled dimensions of approximately 22.5 inches by 23 inches by 18 inches accommodate a range of product sizes. Shippers are reusable, which reduces per-shipment material cost in high-volume distribution environments. This kit is commonly used in laboratory supply, specialty food distribution, and medical supply chain operations.
Designed as a replacement equivalent to part number S-15182. Suitable for general use with temperature-sensitive perishable shipments requiring a corrugated outer carton and EPS foam insulated liner combination.
Pack product inside the EPS foam container, seat the foam lid securely, and place the foam assembly inside the corrugated outer carton before sealing. Follow carrier guidelines for perishable and temperature-sensitive shipments when selecting appropriate refrigerant packs or dry ice quantities. Inspect the foam container for cracks or gaps before each use if reusing the shipper. Dispose of EPS foam in accordance with local regulations.
