The BRYANT 288bnv060000 is a 5-ton residential variable speed heat pump condensing unit rated at 18 SEER cooling efficiency and up to 11 HSPF heating efficiency. It uses an inverter-driven rotary compressor paired with an ECM condenser fan motor to deliver variable capacity operation across multiple stages, allowing precise load matching across a wide range of conditions. Refrigerant is R-410A, and the metering device is a factory-installed TXV. The unit is Energy Star rated and UL Listed, making it suitable for residential installations where high-efficiency heat pump performance and multi-stage dehumidification are priorities. Licensed HVAC technicians handle installation and commissioning.
This condensing unit is designed for residential split-system heat pump applications. The variable speed inverter capacity control supports up to 5 stages of operation, which benefits zoning systems and advanced dehumidification control. It is engineered to work with a wide variety of compatible indoor units and controls within the Bryant Evolution system family. The compact cabinet footprint — 31.1875 inches long by 31.1875 inches wide by 42.3125 inches tall — simplifies placement in space-constrained installations. Single-phase, 208-230 VAC power supply is required.
The 288bnv060000 is designed for use within the Bryant Evolution system platform and is compatible with a wide variety of Bryant Evolution indoor units and controls. Maximum piping length is 100 feet. Liquid line connection is 3/8 inch OD and suction line connection is 1-1/8 inch OD, both sweat or braze type.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in accordance with local mechanical codes and manufacturer guidelines. Disconnect all electrical power and follow lockout/tagout procedures before making any electrical or refrigerant connections. R-410A systems require EPA Section 608 certified technicians for refrigerant handling. Verify that the indoor unit, air handler, and controls are confirmed compatible with the Evolution platform before installation.
