The BRYANT 288bnv037000 is a 3-ton variable speed heat pump condensing unit designed for residential split-system applications. It delivers up to 18 SEER cooling efficiency and up to 11 HSPF heating efficiency using an inverter-driven rotary compressor with up to 5 stages of operation. The ECM condenser fan motor and TXV metering device support precise load matching across a wide range of conditions. Rated at 36,000 BTU/h cooling and operating on single-phase 208-230 VAC at 60 Hz, this unit is Energy Star rated and uses R-410A refrigerant. It is installed by licensed HVAC technicians as the outdoor section of a residential heating and cooling system.
This condensing unit is suited for residential installations where variable capacity operation is needed for improved dehumidification, zoning performance, and comfort control. The compact cabinet measures 31.1875 inches long by 31.1875 inches wide by 38.9375 inches tall, making it a practical fit on standard residential pads. The unit is designed for flexible system matching with a wide variety of compatible indoor units and controls within the Evolution system family. Maximum refrigerant piping length is 100 feet, supporting installations where the indoor and outdoor units are separated by typical residential distances.
Designed for use within the Bryant Evolution system family (product family 288BNV) and compatible with a wide variety of Evolution-series indoor units and controls as specified by Bryant system matching guidelines. Liquid line OD is 3/8 inches; suction line OD is 1-1/8 inches.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in accordance with local mechanical codes and the manufacturer installation instructions. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power before servicing the unit. The Maximum Overcurrent Protection (MOCP) for this unit is 40 amps; verify that the electrical supply and disconnect are sized accordingly per NEC requirements. Do not exceed the 100-foot maximum piping length, and follow proper refrigerant handling procedures under EPA Section 608 regulations.
