The BRYANT 186cnv060000 is a 5-ton, 26 SEER variable-speed residential air conditioner condensing unit designed for high-efficiency cooling applications. Operating on R-410A refrigerant and rated at 60,000 BTU/h, this unit uses a scroll compressor paired with a variable-speed PSC condenser motor to deliver precise capacity modulation and quiet operation at sound levels between 52 and 67 dBA. It carries an Energy Star rating and UL listing, meeting the performance and safety benchmarks that licensed HVAC contractors and inspectors require. The unit is single-phase, 208-230 VAC, 60 Hz and is manufactured in the USA.
This condensing unit is suited for residential split-system cooling installations where high SEER ratings and inverter-driven variable capacity are required. It is intended for use in new construction or retrofit applications where an existing air handler or coil is compatible with R-410A and sized for 5-ton equipment. Liquid and suction line connections use sweat or braze fittings, making field installation straightforward for licensed refrigeration mechanics. Maximum piping length is 250 feet, allowing flexibility in equipment placement relative to the indoor section.
Designed for use in residential R-410A split-system cooling applications as part of the Bryant 186CNV product family. Refer to Bryant engineering documentation and the matched indoor equipment specifications to confirm coil, air handler, and thermostat compatibility before installation.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician holding an EPA Section 608 certification for handling R-410A refrigerant. Disconnect all electrical power at the disconnect box before making any wiring or refrigerant connections. Liquid line OD is 3/8 inches and suction line OD is 7/8 inches; all field connections are sweat or braze type. Maximum overcurrent protection is 40 amps — verify that the branch circuit and disconnect are sized accordingly per NEC requirements before energizing the unit.
