The BROWNING 3694098 is a two-groove, Quick Detachable (QD) bushed V-belt sheave designed for industrial and commercial HVAC, fan, and blower drive applications. It accepts standard 5V cross-section belts and features a 15.68-inch outside diameter with a 5V belt pitch diameter of 15.5 inches. The QD bushing system uses a B-style bushing, allowing bore sizing from 0.625 inches up to 2.25 inches to accommodate a wide range of shaft sizes. Licensed HVAC and mechanical technicians typically install this sheave as part of belt-drive blower assemblies in air handling units, rooftop units, and centrifugal fans. At 26.75 pounds, this is a heavy-duty cast component suited for continuous-duty drive systems.
This sheave is used in belt-drive configurations on commercial and industrial air handling equipment, blowers, fans, and pump drives where 5V-section V-belts are specified. The two-groove design supports dual-belt drive setups, which distribute load and provide redundancy in high-torque or high-horsepower applications. The B-style QD bushing is ordered separately and is field-installed, making bore sizing and shaft fitment straightforward during installation or replacement service.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation sheave for belt-drive systems specifying a two-groove, B-bushing QD mount with 5V-section V-belts and a nominal 15.5-inch pitch diameter. Compatible with standard B-style QD bushings sold separately.
Installation requires a separately purchased B-style QD bushing matched to the drive shaft diameter. Power down and lock out the drive system in accordance with OSHA lockout/tagout procedures before removing or installing any sheave or bushing. A torque wrench, shaft alignment tools, and a belt tension gauge are standard tools for this work. Verify shaft and bushing bore alignment before final tightening to avoid premature belt and bearing wear.
