The BROWNING 3694031 is a two-groove, Quick Detachable (QD) bushed V-belt sheave designed for industrial HVAC, refrigeration, and mechanical drive applications. Built from cast iron and accepting a Type B QD bushing, this sheave accommodates bore diameters from 5/8 inch up to 2-1/4 inches, giving installers flexibility across a range of shaft sizes. The outside diameter measures 8.88 inches, with belt pitch diameters of 8.7 inches for 5V belts, 8.2 inches for A-section belts, and 8.6 inches for B-section belts. At 12.1 pounds, it is a solid, robust component suited for belt-driven blower and fan assemblies. HVAC technicians and mechanical contractors are the primary installers of this sheave.
This sheave is commonly used in belt-driven fan and blower systems found in commercial and light industrial HVAC equipment, including air handlers, rooftop units, and exhaust fans. The two-groove configuration supports dual-belt drive setups that require torque redundancy or where single-belt loading would be excessive. The QD bushing system simplifies installation and removal without requiring the shaft to be disturbed beyond loosening the bushing hardware, making it practical for scheduled maintenance and belt replacements in the field.
Designed for use with 5V, A-section, and B-section V-belts. Accepts a Type B QD bushing to fit bore diameters between 5/8 inch and 2-1/4 inches. Suitable as a replacement or upgrade sheave in dual-groove belt-drive assemblies on commercial HVAC fans and blowers.
Installation and removal should be performed by a qualified HVAC technician or mechanical contractor. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power to the driven equipment before servicing the drive assembly. The QD bushing should be seated and torqued per the bushing manufacturer's fastener specifications, and belt tension should be set using a belt tension gauge before returning the unit to service. Do not operate with mismatched belt sizes across the two grooves.
