The BROWNING 1095702 is a non-cogged fractional horsepower (FHP) V-belt designed for light-duty power transmission in HVAC, fan, and motor-drive applications. Built from EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) rubber, this belt handles operating temperatures up to 230 degrees F, making it well suited for environments where heat resistance is a factor. It runs in the 5L section profile, measuring 21/32 inches in top width, 3/8 inches in thickness, and 84 inches in outside length. Licensed HVAC technicians and mechanical service professionals install this belt during routine maintenance or belt replacement on small motor and blower assemblies.
This belt is intended for fractional horsepower drives commonly found in residential and light commercial HVAC systems, ventilation fans, small pumps, and similar motor-driven equipment. The 5L section is a standard V-belt profile, fitting a wide range of sheaves and pulleys designed for FHP applications. With a single-rib, non-cogged construction, it delivers consistent tension transfer across the drive system without the flexibility characteristics of a cogged belt, making it a straightforward drop-in replacement for standard FHP V-belt setups.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for fractional horsepower V-belt drives using the 5L section profile in residential and light commercial HVAC, fan, and motor-drive applications.
Belt replacement on FHP drives should be performed by a qualified HVAC technician or mechanical service professional. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power to the motor before removing the old belt or accessing the drive assembly. Loosen the motor mounting hardware to relieve tension before removing the belt, and re-tension according to the equipment manufacturer's specifications after installation. Do not pry or force the belt over sheave flanges, as this can damage the belt cords and reduce service life.
