The BROWNING 1095066 is a non-cogged fractional horsepower (FHP) V-belt in the 4L section, designed for light-duty power transmission applications in HVAC, agricultural, and general industrial equipment. Built from neoprene with cotton reinforcement, this belt delivers reliable torque transfer in systems where a smaller, fractional horsepower drive is specified. It measures 0.5 inches in top width, 98 inches in outside length, and 0.3125 inches in thickness. The neoprene construction provides resistance to heat, oil, and common shop contaminants encountered in field service environments.
This belt is suited for residential and light commercial HVAC blower drives, fan assemblies, small compressors, and general machinery where a 4L-section FHP belt is called out by the equipment manufacturer. It is a single-rib belt and is rated for operating temperatures up to 140 degrees F, making it appropriate for standard indoor mechanical room and rooftop unit environments. HVAC technicians and mechanical contractors are the primary installers for this type of drive component.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for equipment specifying a 4L-section non-cogged fractional horsepower V-belt with a 98-inch outside length.
Belt replacement should be performed by a qualified HVAC technician or mechanical contractor. Always de-energize and lock out the drive system before removing or installing belts. Adjust sheave center distance to allow belt installation without forcing the belt over sheave flanges, then re-tension according to the equipment manufacturer's specifications. Never use belt dressing on neoprene V-belts, as it can degrade the belt compound and void the drive design.
