The BROWNING 1042696 is a single-groove, QD bushed V belt sheave designed for power transmission applications in HVAC, industrial, and mechanical drive systems. Featuring an H-style Quick Detachable bushing interface, this sheave accepts bore diameters from 3/8 inch to 1.5 inches, offering broad shaft compatibility without requiring a custom-bored unit. The outside diameter measures 15.75 inches, with a belt pitch A diameter of 15.0 inches and a belt pitch B diameter of 15.4 inches. At 10.3 pounds, it is sized for standard commercial and light industrial drive assemblies. Installation and removal are simplified by the QD bushing system, which allows secure mounting and clean pull-off without damage to the sheave or shaft.
This sheave is suited for use in belt-driven blower assemblies, fan drives, pump drives, and similar rotating equipment found in commercial HVAC air handlers, industrial ventilation systems, and mechanical rooms. The single-groove profile accommodates a single A-section or B-section V belt depending on the matched drive configuration. It is typically installed by HVAC mechanics, millwrights, or mechanical contractors during new equipment installation or drive maintenance. The H-style QD bushing must be sourced separately and matched to the shaft diameter within the 3/8 inch to 1.5 inch range.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-install sheave for single-groove V belt drive systems using an H-style QD bushing and shaft diameters between 3/8 inch and 1.5 inches.
Installation should be performed by a qualified mechanic or HVAC technician. Disconnect and lock out all power to the drive system before removing or installing sheave components. The H-style QD bushing is not included and must be selected separately to match the shaft diameter. Align sheave faces within manufacturer tolerances before tensioning the belt to prevent premature belt and bearing wear.
