The BROWNING 1042662 is a single-groove, quick-detachable (QD) bushed V-belt sheave designed for power transmission applications in HVAC, industrial, and mechanical drive systems. Built from cast iron, this sheave accepts an H-style QD bushing and accommodates bore diameters from 0.375 inches up to 1.5 inches, making it adaptable to a range of shaft sizes without requiring a dedicated bored-to-size unit. The outside diameter measures 12.75 inches, with a belt pitch A diameter of 12.0 inches and a belt pitch B diameter of 12.4 inches. Licensed HVAC mechanics, millwrights, and industrial maintenance technicians are the typical installers for this component.
This sheave is suited for single-groove V-belt drive systems using A or B cross-section belts. It is commonly installed on fan, blower, and pump drive assemblies in commercial and light-industrial settings where the QD bushing system allows for quick removal and reinstallation during routine maintenance or belt replacement. The H-style bushing must be sourced and installed separately. The 12.75-inch outside diameter positions this sheave in larger-diameter, lower-speed drive configurations typical of commercial air handling units and industrial blower systems.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation sheave for single-groove V-belt drive systems using A or B cross-section belts with an H-style QD bushing. H-style bushing is sold separately.
Installation should be performed by a qualified millwright, HVAC mechanic, or industrial maintenance technician. De-energize and lock out the drive system before removing or installing any sheave. The H-style QD bushing must be installed according to the bushing manufacturer's torque sequence before mounting on the shaft. Verify belt tension and sheave alignment with a straightedge or laser alignment tool after installation to prevent premature belt and bearing wear.
