The BROWNING 1042506 is a single-groove, quick-disconnect (QD) bushed V-belt sheave designed for industrial and mechanical drive applications. It accepts H-style QD bushings and accommodates bore diameters from 3/8 inch up to 1-1/2 inches, making it adaptable to a wide range of shaft sizes without requiring a dedicated bore. The sheave has a 5.95-inch outside diameter and is compatible with A and B cross-section V-belts, with a belt pitch A diameter of 5.2 inches and a belt pitch B diameter of 5.6 inches. Cast iron construction provides durability under continuous load. HVAC, refrigeration, and industrial equipment technicians install this sheave in belt-driven blower, fan, and pump assemblies.
This sheave is suited for both light commercial and industrial drive systems where a QD-bushed sheave allows quick shaft mounting and removal without special tooling. Common applications include belt-driven HVAC air handlers, exhaust fans, cooling tower fans, and industrial blowers. The H-bushing style fits a standardized taper-lock hub that is widely stocked, simplifying field replacement and maintenance. The single-groove design is intended for single-belt drive configurations using A or B cross-section belts.
Designed for use with A and B cross-section V-belts in single-groove drive configurations. Requires a separately sourced H-style QD bushing to complete installation. Suitable as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation sheave on belt-driven fans, blowers, and pumps using standard QD-bushed sheave arrangements.
Installation should be performed by a qualified mechanic or HVAC technician familiar with belt-drive systems. Disconnect and lock out all power to the drive before removing or installing sheaves. The H-style QD bushing must be sourced and installed separately — confirm the bushing bore matches the shaft diameter before assembly. Check belt tension and sheave alignment after installation per the belt manufacturer's published guidelines.
