The BROWNING 1001262 is a three-groove, quick-disconnect (QD) bushed V-belt sheave designed for industrial and mechanical drive applications. With a 3.95-inch outside diameter and a P2 bushing style, this sheave accepts bore sizes from 3/4 inch up to 1-3/4 inch, giving installers flexibility when matching shafts across a range of equipment. The sheave accommodates standard A-section belts with a 3.2-inch belt pitch diameter and B-section belts at 3.6 inches. At 4.55 pounds, it is a compact, solid component suited for HVAC blower assemblies, fan drives, pump drives, and similar power transmission setups. Licensed mechanics and millwrights typically handle installation on commercial and industrial equipment.
This sheave is commonly used in belt-drive systems found in commercial HVAC air handlers, industrial blowers, pump drive trains, and light-duty conveyor systems. The QD bushing design makes removal and reinstallation straightforward without special tooling beyond standard wrenches. The three-groove configuration allows multi-belt drive setups, which distribute load and reduce vibration across the drive assembly. It is well-suited for retrofits and replacements where the original equipment used a P2-bushed, three-groove sheave of similar diameter.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or upgrade sheave for belt-drive systems requiring a three-groove, P2 QD-bushed sheave with a 3.95-inch outside diameter. Compatible with standard A-section and B-section V-belts. Accepts P2-series QD bushings to fit shafts from 3/4 inch to 1-3/4 inch in diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified mechanic or HVAC technician. Disconnect and lock out all power to the drive system before removing or installing the sheave. Verify shaft diameter falls within the 3/4-inch to 1-3/4-inch bore range before ordering the appropriate P2 bushing. Inspect belt condition and alignment after mounting and follow general ANSI/OSHA belt-drive guarding requirements before returning the system to service.
