The BRIDGEPORT FITTINGS SGB382CL is a 3/4-inch insulated split grounding bushing designed for use with rigid conduit, IMC conduit, and EMT fittings. The split design allows installation before or after wire pull-through, eliminating the need to remove conductors during retrofits or upgrades. The bushing features a ball-burnished zinc die cast body, a UV-stabilized nylon insulator rated to 150 degrees C, and stainless steel hardware. The aluminum lug accepts 14 to 4 AWG conductors. The interior diameter measures 0.80 inches. This fitting is suited for licensed electricians working on power distribution and data system upgrades in commercial and industrial environments.
The SGB382CL is intended for 3/4-inch rigid metal conduit, IMC, and EMT applications where a grounding bushing is required at conduit terminations. The split construction is especially useful in retrofit and upgrade scenarios where conductors are already in place and traditional one-piece bushings cannot be installed without a complete wire pull. It is a practical solution for reducing downtime in active facilities undergoing electrical system improvements.
Designed for use with 3/4-inch rigid metal conduit, IMC conduit, and EMT fittings as a grounding bushing at conduit terminations.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians. De-energize and lock out the circuit before working at any conduit termination point, in accordance with NFPA 70 and applicable OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. The split design allows the bushing to be placed around existing conductors, but verify conductor insulation is undamaged before securing the bushing. Confirm lug torque and conductor size compliance with the NEC and local electrical codes prior to energizing.
