The BRIDGEPORT FITTINGS 81DC is a 1/2-inch rigid pull elbow connector designed to facilitate 90-degree turns in rigid conduit runs. It is used when conductors must be pulled through an elbow before the conduit changes direction into the next rigid section. The fitting ships complete with a removable cover and gasket that seal the opening against dirt, dust, and moisture. Zinc-plated steel screws are included to secure the cover. This pull elbow meets NEMA Standard FB-1 and UL Standard UL-514B, making it suitable for licensed electrical work in commercial and residential applications.
This pull elbow is installed in rigid metal conduit systems where a 90-degree directional change is required and wire pull access at the bend point is necessary. Electricians use pull elbows when straight conduit bending is not practical or when conductor routing requires a dedicated pull point. The removable cover provides ongoing access for rewiring or adding conductors without disassembling the conduit run. The 1/2-inch trade size fits standard 1/2-inch rigid conduit fittings and couplings.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-use fitting for 1/2-inch rigid metal conduit systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). De-energize all circuits in the conduit run before opening the cover or pulling conductors. Use appropriate conduit wrenches and threading tools for rigid conduit work. Do not overtighten the cover screws, as this may damage the gasket seal.
