The BRIDGEPORT FITTINGS 476-SLT is a 2-1/2-inch malleable iron liquid tight 90-degree connector designed to join metallic liquid tight conduit to an electrical box or enclosure at a 90-degree angle. Malleable iron construction gives this connector exceptional impact and abrasion resistance, making it the heavy-duty choice for harsh and wet environments. It includes NPT threads, a polypropylene or polyethylene knockout gasket, and an internal sealing ring that together create a reliable liquid tight seal between the conduit and the box knockout. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors install this fitting where code and conditions demand a secure, moisture-resistant conduit termination.
This connector is suited for commercial and industrial installations where metallic liquid tight conduit terminates at enclosures, panels, or junction boxes in wet or damp locations. It meets NEC requirements for use in wet locations and is rated for use in Class I Division 2, Class II Divisions 1 and 2, and Class III Divisions 1 and 2 per NEC 501.30(B). The 90-degree angle makes it the right choice where straight connectors cannot accommodate conduit routing near box entries. Liquid tight connectors in this product family are available in trade sizes ranging from 3/8 inches to 4 inches.
Designed for use with metallic liquid tight conduit terminating at electrical boxes and enclosures with standard knockout openings. Compatible with the 2-1/2-inch trade size conduit system. This connector is part of a product family available in trade sizes 3/8 inches through 4 inches.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the NEC and applicable local electrical codes. De-energize all circuits and lock out power to the enclosure before beginning conduit work. To install, slide the compression nut and inner sealing ring over the conduit, thread the ferrule into the conduit channel, insert the conduit into the connector body, retighten the compression nut to secure the conduit, and attach the fitting to the box knockout using the provided locknut. Do not overtighten the compression nut in a way that damages the sealing ring or conduit jacket.
