The BRIDGEPORT FITTINGS 475-SLT is a 2-inch malleable iron liquid tight 90-degree connector designed to join metallic liquid tight conduit to an electrical box or enclosure at a 90-degree angle. Built from malleable iron, it delivers heavy-duty impact and abrasion resistance in harsh, wet, or corrosive environments. The fitting includes NPT threads, a polypropylene or polyethylene knockout gasket, and an internal sealing ring that creates a liquid tight seal at both the conduit and the box knockout. The body is assembled with a zinc plated steel compression nut for the 2-inch trade size. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors install this fitting in industrial and commercial conduit systems where moisture ingress is a concern.
This connector is suited for wet location wiring installations in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. It is used wherever metallic liquid tight flexible conduit must terminate at a panel, junction box, or equipment enclosure with a 90-degree approach angle. Typical applications include machinery wiring, mechanical rooms, outdoor equipment connections, and any installation requiring NEMA Type 2, 3, 3R, 4, or 12 protection. The 475-SLT is part of a product family available in trade sizes 3/8 inches through 4 inches, making it a consistent choice across multi-size jobs.
Designed for use with 2-inch trade size metallic liquid tight flexible conduit terminating at standard electrical boxes or enclosures with a matching knockout. Suitable for use in Class I Division 2, Class II Divisions 1 and 2, and Class III Divisions 1 and 2 per NEC 501.30 (B).
Installation is performed by a licensed electrician following NEC requirements for wet location wiring. Before beginning, de-energize the circuit and lock out the equipment per established electrical safety procedures. Slide the compression nut and inner sealing ring over the conduit end before threading the ferrule into the conduit channel, then insert the conduit into the connector body and tighten the compression nut to secure it. Attach the fitting to the box knockout using the provided locknut, and verify the sealing ring and gasket are properly seated to maintain the liquid tight rating.
