The BRIDGEPORT FITTINGS 474-SLT is a 1-1/2 inch malleable iron liquid tight 90-degree connector designed to join metallic liquid tight conduit to an electrical box or enclosure at a 90-degree angle. Built for harsh, wet environments, it delivers exceptional impact and abrasion resistance. The connector ships with NPT threads, a polypropylene or polyethylene knockout gasket, and an internal sealing ring to maintain a liquid tight seal between the conduit and the box knockout. A zinc plated steel compression nut secures the assembly at this trade size. Licensed electricians and industrial maintenance technicians install this fitting in wet location conduit runs.
This connector is suited for both commercial and industrial electrical installations where metallic liquid tight conduit must change direction at a 90-degree angle entering a box or enclosure. It is rated for wet locations per NEC requirements and is suitable for use in Class I Division 2, Class II Divisions 1 and 2, and Class III Divisions 1 and 2 per NEC 501.30(B). The 474-SLT is part of a liquid tight 90-degree connector series available in trade sizes 3/8 inches through 4 inches.
Designed for use with 1-1/2 inch metallic liquid tight conduit connecting to standard electrical boxes and enclosures with matching knockout sizes. Compatible with installations requiring compliance with NEC 501.30(B) for Class I Division 2, Class II Divisions 1 and 2, and Class III Divisions 1 and 2 hazardous locations.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians following NEC guidelines for wet and hazardous location conduit work. De-energize all circuits and confirm the enclosure is de-energized before beginning work. Slide the compression nut and inner sealing ring over the conduit, thread the ferrule into the conduit channel, insert the conduit into the connector body, retighten the compression nut to secure the conduit, then fasten the fitting to the box knockout using the provided locknut. Do not overtighten the compression nut with power tools, as this may damage the sealing ring or gasket.
