The BRIDGEPORT FITTINGS 368 is a 3-inch zinc electroplated malleable iron insulated bushing designed to terminate threaded rigid conduit or IMC to an electrical box using a standard locknut. A plastic metaliner insert protects wire insulation from abrasion at the conduit entry point, which is a code-relevant detail on any pull with conductor insulation at risk. The bushing measures 1 inch in length with an inner diameter of 2.875 inches and an outer diameter of 3.75 inches. It carries an NRTL listing and meets OSHA-recognized standards for construction and general industry electrical installations. Temperature rating is 150 degrees C.
This bushing is used wherever 3-inch rigid metal conduit or IMC terminates at a junction box, pull box, panel enclosure, or other electrical enclosure requiring a threaded fitting. It is a standard component in commercial, industrial, and heavy construction wiring systems. Electricians install it as part of the conduit termination process before pulling conductors, ensuring the wire insulation is not compromised at the box entry.
Designed as an OEM-style fitting for use with 3-inch threaded rigid metal conduit or intermediate metal conduit (IMC) terminating at an electrical enclosure.
Installation is performed by a licensed electrician. De-energize the panel or enclosure before beginning conduit termination work in accordance with NFPA 70 lockout/tagout requirements. Thread the bushing onto the conduit end, insert the assembly through the knockout, and secure with a locknut on the interior side of the enclosure. Ensure the metaliner is seated properly before pulling conductors to prevent insulation damage.
