The BRIDGEPORT FITTINGS 3502 is a malleable iron set screw connector designed to join unthreaded rigid or IMC conduit to an electrical box or enclosure. The concrete-tight construction prevents aggregate from abrading conductor insulation and from reducing usable raceway area, making it suitable for poured concrete installations. Connection is secured by a set screw, eliminating the need for threaded conduit ends. Malleable iron construction provides excellent tensile strength and resistance to mechanical stress in demanding environments. This connector is listed to UL 514B. It is installed by licensed electricians and electrical contractors.
The 3502 is intended for use in residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical installations where rigid metal conduit or IMC must terminate at a box, panel, or enclosure. Its concrete-tight rating makes it a practical choice in slab or tilt-up construction where conduit stubs are embedded before the enclosure is mounted. The 1-inch trade size accommodates standard 1-inch rigid and IMC conduit without modification.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement connector for use with 1-inch unthreaded rigid metal conduit or intermediate metal conduit terminating at a standard electrical box or enclosure.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code). De-energize the circuit and verify the absence of voltage before beginning any conduit or enclosure work. Insert the conduit fully into the connector before tightening the set screw to ensure a secure mechanical connection. When used in concrete applications, confirm the fitting is rated for the specific pour conditions on site.
