The BRIDGEPORT FITTINGS 3001 is a threadless compression connector designed to join unthreaded rigid or IMC conduit directly to an electrical box or enclosure. No tape or thread engagement is required — the connection is secured mechanically by compression, creating a concrete-tight fit. Constructed from steel, the 3001 is rated for 3/4-inch conduit and offers corrosion resistance suitable for long-term service in non-acidic environments. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors install this fitting during conduit rough-in work where a clean, reliable conduit-to-enclosure termination is required.
The 3001 is suited for residential and light commercial electrical installations where 3/4-inch rigid metal conduit (RMC) or intermediate metal conduit (IMC) terminates at a junction box, panel enclosure, or electrical device box. The threadless design speeds up installation in situations where threading conduit ends is impractical or where unthreaded conduit sections are already in place. It is an appropriate choice for dry, damp, and non-acidic indoor environments.
Designed as an OEM-style compression fitting for use with 3/4-inch unthreaded rigid metal conduit (RMC) and intermediate metal conduit (IMC) terminations at standard electrical boxes and enclosures.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians in accordance with NEC requirements for conduit fittings and enclosure entries. De-energize all circuits in the affected enclosure before making conduit connections. Insert the conduit end fully into the connector body and tighten the compression nut to secure the fitting — no thread cutting or tape application is needed. Do not use this connector in acidic or highly corrosive environments where steel fittings are not rated.
