The Bravo BRV-M42-230VO is a multi-zone outdoor condenser unit designed for ductless and ducted mini-split heat pump systems. Rated at 42,000 BTU/h cooling capacity with a variable range of 8,350 to 46,000 BTU/h, it operates on a 208-230V single-phase 60 Hz power supply. The unit carries a SEER2 rating of 24, placing it in the high-efficiency tier for residential and light commercial applications. Inverter-driven compressor technology allows the unit to modulate output continuously, reducing energy consumption compared to single-stage equipment. Licensed HVAC technicians install and commission this unit as the outdoor component of a matched multi-zone system.
The BRV-M42-230VO is suited for mid- to large-sized residential installations and light commercial settings where multiple zones require independent temperature control from a single outdoor unit. Compatible indoor unit types include wall mount, slim duct, ceiling cassette, and universal floor-ceiling air handlers within the Bravo Milano multi-zone product line. Cooling operation is rated for ambient temperatures from -13 degrees F to 125.6 degrees F, and heating operation covers -13 degrees F to 75.2 degrees F, making it viable in a wide range of climates. Typical configurations support two, three, four, or five indoor zones.
The BRV-M42-230VO is the outdoor condenser for the Bravo Milano multi-zone product line. Compatible indoor units include wall mount models (BRV-M09WM-230VI, BRV-M12WM-230VI, BRV-M18WM-230VI, BRV-M24WM-230VI), slim duct models (BRV-M09DT-230VI, BRV-M12DT-230VI, BRV-M18DT-230VI, BRV-M24DT-230VI), ceiling cassette models (BRV-M09CT-230VI, BRV-M12CT-230VI, BRV-M18CT-230VI, BRV-M24CT-230VI), and universal floor-ceiling models within the same Milano series.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician holding an EPA Section 608 certification for refrigerant handling. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power before making any electrical or refrigerant connections. The outdoor unit requires a dedicated circuit sized to local NEC requirements based on the unit's minimum circuit ampacity and maximum overcurrent protection ratings. Do not operate the unit without verifying that total connected indoor unit capacity falls within the outdoor unit's approved combination range per the manufacturer's engineering data.
