The BRASSCRAFT PLB107XP is a quarter-turn angle stop valve designed to connect a 1/2 inch nominal cold expansion PEX barb inlet to a 3/8 inch OD compression outlet. It provides a reliable shutoff point at fixture supply lines, making it a standard component in residential water supply rough-in and finish plumbing work. The cold expansion barb end conforms to the ASTM F1960 standard, allowing direct connection to PEX-A tubing using an expansion ring. The compression outlet accepts standard 3/8 inch OD supply lines for sinks, toilets, and similar fixtures. Licensed plumbers and finish carpenters install this valve during rough-in or trim-out phases of construction and remodel projects.
This valve is suited for residential plumbing installations where PEX-A distribution piping terminates at a fixture stop location. The F1960 cold expansion end is compatible with PEX-A pipe and requires an expansion tool and ring for connection. The 3/8 inch OD compression outlet accepts standard braided or solid supply lines. Typical applications include bathroom vanities, toilets, and kitchen sink supply connections in new construction and remodel work where PEX distribution systems are used.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation angle stop for residential PEX-A plumbing systems using ASTM F1960 cold expansion connections at fixture shutoff locations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the main water supply and depressurize the line before beginning work. The cold expansion end requires a proper F1960 expansion tool and compatible PEX-A expansion rings — do not use this fitting with PEX-B or PEX-C tubing. Verify compression nut is hand-tight before final tightening with a wrench to avoid over-compression of the ferrule.
