The BRASSCRAFT OCR19ZX C is an angle stop valve designed to control water supply to fixtures at the point of connection. This type of valve installs between the supply line coming out of the wall or floor and the fixture supply tube, allowing the water flow to that individual fixture to be shut off without cutting service to the rest of the system. It connects a 5/8 inch OD compression inlet to a 3/8 inch OD compression outlet, which is the standard configuration for under-sink and toilet supply applications. Plumbers and plumbing technicians install this valve during new construction, remodels, and fixture replacements.
The OCR19ZX C angle stop is suited for residential plumbing installations where a local shutoff is required at sinks, lavatories, toilets, and similar fixtures. Its 90-degree angle body configuration is designed for supply stubs that exit the wall horizontally, routing the outlet downward or forward toward the fixture supply tube. This makes it a common choice in bathroom and kitchen rough-in scenarios where straight-stop clearance is limited.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation angle stop valve for residential plumbing fixture supply applications accepting a 5/8 inch OD inlet and 3/8 inch OD compression outlet connection.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off the main water supply and relieve line pressure before removing an existing valve or making new connections. Compression fittings require proper seating of the ferrule and nut — do not overtighten, as this can crack the ferrule or damage the valve body. After installation, restore water pressure slowly and inspect all connections for leaks before closing the access area.
