The BRASSCRAFT BRPX19V200HX is a lead-free brass CrimpStop angle valve with an integrated 20-inch braided faucet connector, designed for lavatory supply connections in residential plumbing systems. The one-piece assembly combines a multi-turn angle stop valve with a pre-attached braided supply line, reducing the number of field connections required at rough-in or fixture replacement. The inlet is a 1/2-inch nominal PEX barb for direct connection to PEX tubing, and the outlet terminates at a 1/2-inch female iron pipe (FIP) connection. Lead-free brass construction meets current potable water standards. Licensed plumbers and experienced plumbing contractors are the primary installers of this fitting.
This assembly is suited for residential lavatory faucet installations where PEX supply lines run to the fixture stop location. The 20-inch braided connector spans from the angle valve outlet to the faucet inlet, making it a practical one-stop solution for bathroom sink rough-in and faucet replacement work. The multi-turn valve mechanism provides reliable flow control without the abrupt shutoff characteristics of quarter-turn designs, which is common in lavatory stop valve applications. The CrimpStop design requires a standard PEX crimp tool and the appropriate crimp rings for the 1/2-inch nominal PEX barb connection.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for residential lavatory supply applications with 1/2-inch nominal PEX supply lines terminating at a 1/2-inch FIP faucet inlet.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the main water supply and depressurize the line before beginning work. The PEX barb connection requires a properly sized crimp ring and a calibrated PEX crimp tool; do not use compression fittings in place of the crimp connection on this fitting. Inspect the braided connector for kinks or damage before pressurizing the system, and verify all connections are leak-free at startup.
