The BRASSCRAFT 19x c is a chrome plated angle elbow fitting designed to transition from a 1/2 inch sweat (solder) connection to a 3/8 inch OD compression outlet. This type of fitting is a standard stop-and-waste or supply angle used in residential and light commercial plumbing systems. It is typically installed as the final connection between a copper supply line and a fixture supply tube. The chrome plated finish provides a clean appearance in exposed installations such as under sinks and vanities. Licensed plumbers and experienced DIYers both install this type of fitting in finish plumbing work.
This angle elbow is suited for residential plumbing applications where a copper sweat inlet connects to a 3/8 inch OD flexible or rigid supply line. Common install locations include bathroom vanities, kitchen sinks, and similar fixture supply connections where the supply line makes a 90-degree direction change from the wall or floor stub-out. The chrome plated exterior makes it appropriate for visible, finished spaces.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting compatible with standard 1/2 inch copper sweat supply lines and 3/8 inch OD compression supply tubes used in residential fixture connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified tradesperson in accordance with local plumbing codes and the IPC. Shut off the main water supply and relieve line pressure before soldering or making any compression connections. Use proper soldering flux, lead-free solder, and torch technique on the sweat end; do not apply heat after the compression nut and ferrule are in place on the outlet side. Tighten the compression fitting to hand-tight plus a quarter turn — do not overtighten.
