The BRAMEC 7580 is a flat cable staple designed to secure NM-B, RX, and UF-style electrical cables to wood framing, joists, and structural members. Each staple measures 3/4 inches wide to properly support flat cable runs without pinching or deforming the jacket. Suitable for 14, 12, and 10 AWG cable, this fastener is a standard consumable used by electricians during rough-in wiring on residential and light commercial projects. The pack contains 250 staples, reducing trips to the supply house on larger jobs.
This staple is used wherever flat electrical cable must be routed and secured to wood surfaces per NEC requirements. Common applications include securing cable along studs, rafters, and floor joists in new construction and renovation work. The flat saddle profile distributes clamping force evenly across the cable jacket, helping prevent insulation damage. Electricians and electrical contractors typically stock this fastener in quantity for framing-stage rough-in work.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement staple for securing 14 AWG, 12 AWG, and 10 AWG RX and UF flat electrical cable in residential and light commercial wiring applications.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians during the rough-in phase before wall coverings are applied. Drive staples flush to the framing surface without over-driving, which can damage cable insulation and create a code violation. NEC Article 334 governs cable staple spacing and installation requirements for NM-B and similar cable types. Inspect each staple after driving to confirm the cable jacket is undamaged and the fastener is seated flat.
