The BRAMEC 19999 is a rubber flexible coupling designed for condensate and drain line connections in HVAC and plumbing systems. It joins 3-inch piping sections using a clamp-on installation method, with included metal clamps that compress the rubber sleeve to form a leak-resistant seal. The flexible rubber body absorbs vibration and minor pipe misalignment, reducing stress on connected fittings and drain lines. This type of coupling is a standard component in condensate management systems and is installed by HVAC technicians and plumbers during equipment service or new construction.
This coupling is suited for residential and light commercial condensate drain systems where a secure, flexible transition between piping sections is needed. Typical applications include connecting condensate drain lines at air handlers, furnaces, or fan coil units where rigid fittings would transmit vibration or where slight angular offset exists between pipe ends. The clamp-on design eliminates the need for solvent welding or threaded connections, making it practical for retrofit and service work in tight spaces.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and field-service fitting for 3-inch condensate and drain piping in residential and light commercial HVAC and plumbing systems.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed HVAC technician or plumber. Before installation, shut down the connected HVAC equipment and relieve any system pressure in the drain line. Slide the coupling over the pipe ends, align properly, and tighten the metal clamps evenly to ensure a uniform seal around the full circumference of the pipe. Do not overtighten the clamps to the point of distorting the rubber sleeve, as this can compromise the seal.
