The BRAEBURN SYSTEMS BRAE-6100 is a programmable touchscreen thermostat designed for single-stage heating and cooling systems, including heat pump applications. It supports 7-day, 5-2 day, or non-programmable scheduling modes, giving installers and end users flexibility across a range of residential and light commercial setups. The large 12 square inch touchscreen with a bright blue backlight makes the interface easy to read in low-light mechanical rooms or finished living spaces. Operating at 24 volts, the BRAE-6100 accepts both hardwired and battery power, which simplifies installation in a variety of wall configurations. A licensed HVAC technician is the typical installer for this control.
The BRAE-6100 is suited for single-stage forced-air systems configured as conventional or heat pump. Auto or manual changeover supports both system types from a single unit. Exclusive SpeedBar technology and SpeedSet programming mode reduce setup time during commissioning. Adjustable temperature limits, multi-level keypad lockout, and separate user and installer reset buttons make this thermostat appropriate for both owner-occupied and rental or managed properties. Indoor or outdoor remote sensing is supported via the S1 and S2 terminals, and a programmable circulating fan mode adds ventilation control. The unit meets California Title 24 guidelines, making it compliant for new construction and replacement work in California.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-install thermostat for single-stage conventional and heat pump systems operating at 24 volts with standard low-voltage thermostat wiring.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in accordance with local codes and the equipment manufacturer's wiring diagram. Power down the system at the breaker or disconnect before removing the existing thermostat and making wire connections to the Rc, Rh, O/B, Y, W, G, C, S1, and S2 terminals. Verify O/B terminal configuration for heat pump staging before commissioning. Do not apply line voltage to the low-voltage terminals.
