The BRAEBURN SYSTEMS BRAE-1220 is a digital non-programmable thermostat designed for multi-stage HVAC systems requiring up to two stages of heating and two stages of cooling. It also supports heat pump systems with one compressor and up to one auxiliary heating stage. The unit operates on 24 volts AC or two AA alkaline batteries at 3.0 volts DC, giving installers flexibility when low-voltage wiring is limited. A backlit 3-inch display provides clear temperature readout, and adjustable temperature limits allow technicians to set allowable setpoint ranges for end users. The thermostat mounts horizontally on a separate sub-base, simplifying wiring and replacement.
The BRAE-1220 fits residential and light commercial applications where multi-stage conventional or heat pump control is required without scheduling complexity. It is well suited for split systems, package units, and heat pump installations where straightforward non-programmable operation is preferred. The separate sub-base design makes it a practical drop-in option during system upgrades or thermostat replacements. Terminal designations include Rc, Rh, O, B, Y1, W1, G, and C, covering the wiring configurations common to multi-stage and heat pump systems.

Verify compatibility of the existing low-voltage wiring terminals before connecting to the sub-base. If battery power is used as the primary source, ensure batteries are installed before powering up the system.
