The Braeburn BRAE-7205 is a Wi-Fi enabled universal thermostat in the BlueLink Series, designed for residential and light commercial HVAC control applications. It operates on 18 to 30 VAC or 3 VDC and supports both battery and hardwired power sources, giving installers flexibility across a wide range of system configurations. The BRAE-7205 supports up to 2 heat and 2 cool stages on conventional systems and up to 3 heat and 2 cool stages on heat pump systems. Licensed HVAC technicians install this thermostat as a universal replacement or upgrade in forced-air heating and cooling systems.
The BRAE-7205 is suited for residential and light commercial applications involving conventional gas, oil, or electric forced-air systems as well as heat pump systems with auxiliary and emergency heat. Programmability options include 7-day, 5-2 day, and non-programmable modes, making it adaptable to a range of customer scheduling preferences. Wi-Fi connectivity via the BlueLink platform allows remote access and control. The terminal layout includes Rc, Rh, W1/E/W3, W2, Y1, Y2, G, O/B, C, and K designations, covering the majority of standard low-voltage thermostat wiring configurations.
Designed as a universal low-voltage thermostat replacement compatible with conventional forced-air heating and cooling systems as well as single- and multi-stage heat pump systems supporting standard Rc, Rh, W, Y, G, O/B, C, and K terminal wiring.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in accordance with local mechanical codes and the equipment manufacturer's wiring diagram. Power down the air handler or furnace at the disconnect or breaker before removing the existing thermostat and making any wiring connections. Verify system voltage is within the 18 to 30 VAC operating range before energizing the new thermostat. Wi-Fi configuration and BlueLink platform setup should be completed after all wiring is secured and the system is confirmed operational.
