The BOSS PRODUCTS 143096 is a one-part, acetoxy-cure silicone sealant formulated for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning sealing and adhesive applications. It bonds to clean metal, glass, many types of wood, silicone resins, vulcanized silicone rubber, ceramics, and plastic surfaces. The sealant delivers a tensile strength of 350 psi and withstands temperatures from -40 degrees F to 400 degrees F, making it suitable for the temperature extremes common in HVAC duct, flue, and equipment enclosure work. Setting time ranges from 10 to 20 minutes. The 8 oz pressure can format allows controlled application in tight spaces. A primer may be required for optimum adhesion to certain substrates.
This sealant is intended for general HVAC sealing and bonding tasks in both residential and light commercial settings. Typical applications include sealing metal duct joints, bonding gaskets, and securing penetrations around HVAC equipment enclosures. The wide substrate compatibility also makes it useful for mixed-material assemblies involving glass, ceramic, or plastic components alongside sheet metal. HVAC technicians and sheet metal mechanics will find it a practical single-component option that requires no mixing before use.
Designed for general HVAC sealing and adhesive applications on metal, glass, wood, silicone resin, vulcanized silicone rubber, ceramic, and plastic surfaces. A primer may be required for optimum adhesion to certain substrates.
Application should be performed by a qualified HVAC technician or sheet metal mechanic. Power down and de-energize any equipment in the work area before applying sealant near electrical components. Surfaces must be clean and dry for proper adhesion. Allow full cure before restoring system operation, and ensure adequate ventilation during application as acetoxy-cure silicones release acetic acid during the curing process.
