The BOSS PRODUCTS 137775 is a non-intumescent, silicone-based firestop sealant supplied in a 10.1-ounce cartridge. It cures to a red, non-slump paste that seals penetrations in fire-rated assemblies, preventing the passage of flame, smoke, and gases through openings in walls, floors, and ceilings. The sealant goes tack-free in 35 minutes and reaches full cure in 14 days. With a specific gravity of 1.4 and a density of 11.65 pounds per gallon, the formulation holds position after application without sagging. Licensed electricians, plumbers, and mechanical contractors install this product as part of code-compliant firestop systems in both new construction and retrofit projects.
This sealant is rated for interior and exterior use across a wide range of penetration types. Typical applications include wire and cable lines, conduit, electrical cable bundles, pipes, vents, ducts, and fire dampers. The service temperature range of -40 to 500 degrees F makes it suitable for both ambient and higher-heat mechanical penetrations. It is appropriate for use in residential and commercial construction wherever UL-listed firestop assembly documentation is required. This product is the designated silicone replacement for the B810 series and serves as a direct substitute for the B760 product.
Listed as a non-intumescent silicone replacement for the B810 series and a direct substitute for the B760 product. Designed for use in UL-listed firestop assembly systems for pipe, conduit, electrical cable, wire and cable line, vent, duct, and fire damper penetrations in fire-rated wall and floor assemblies.
Installation must be performed by a qualified tradesperson in accordance with applicable building and fire codes, including IBC and IRC requirements for firestop systems. Power down or de-energize electrical systems and shut off mechanical services before opening or enlarging any penetration in a fire-rated assembly. Apply when ambient, surface, and material temperatures are between 40 and 90 degrees F as required for proper cure. Do not apply over wet surfaces or attempt to force full cure ahead of the 14-day cure schedule by applying heat.
