The Bosch SDT8 is a titanium nitride-coated step drill bit that provides a 1/2 in cutting diameter and a 1/4 in shank. It has a 3 in overall length, 2 in flute length and a 0.5 in length of cut. The self-starting point and balanced double flute reduce chatter and vibration. It is designed to drill clean, accurate holes in thin materials up to 1/8 in for electrical, plumbing and HVAC knockout and conduit work.
