The ROBERT BOSCH TOOL GROUP HCFC2103 is a carbide SDS-Plus rotary hammer drill bit from the Bulldog Xtreme line, measuring 5/8 inches in diameter with a 12-inch overall length and a 10-inch usable flute length. It is engineered for heavy-duty rotary hammer applications where concrete and rebar are both in the path. Diffusion Bonding Technology creates a stronger carbide-to-steel bond, delivering four times the life in rebar versus a standard SDS-Plus bit and 40% more life in concrete compared to competitive full head carbide bits. A centric conical tip guides the bit through concrete for rounder, more accurate holes, while a wear mark indicates when the hole diameter is no longer within spec.
This bit is suited for commercial and residential concrete drilling tasks where rebar-heavy slabs are common. Typical applications include anchor bolt installation, conduit penetrations, and structural concrete work. The SDS-Plus shank fits standard SDS-Plus rotary hammers used daily by electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, and general contractors drilling into concrete, block, and masonry. The bit is optimized for heavy-duty rotary hammers and produces less carbide wear than two-cutter designs, meaning fewer bit changes per job and higher productivity per bit.
Designed for use with SDS-Plus rotary hammers optimized for heavy-duty concrete and masonry drilling applications.
Installation of this bit is performed by licensed trades and qualified contractors using SDS-Plus rotary hammers. Always power down and unplug or de-energize the tool before inserting or removing a bit. Wear appropriate PPE including eye protection and dust control measures when drilling into concrete or masonry. Follow applicable OSHA silica dust exposure guidelines when drilling concrete in enclosed or poorly ventilated spaces.
