The ROBERT BOSCH TOOL GROUP HCFC2054 is a carbide SDS-Plus rotary hammer drill bit designed for heavy-duty concrete and rebar drilling applications. Sold in a package of 50, this 5/16-inch diameter bit measures 12 inches in overall length with a 10-inch flute length and 10-inch useable length. It features Diffusion Bonding Technology, which creates a stronger carbide-to-steel bond for extended service life. The centric conical tip guides the bit through concrete for rounder, more accurate holes, and a built-in wear mark allows the user to verify that hole diameter remains within tolerance throughout the bit's life. Licensed HVAC, plumbing, and electrical trades as well as general contractors install this bit when core penetrations or anchor holes through concrete and masonry are required.
This bit is built for heavy-duty SDS-Plus rotary hammers used in residential and commercial construction. Typical applications include drilling anchor bolt holes, conduit penetrations, and sleeve openings through poured concrete, block, and rebar-reinforced slabs. The SDS-Plus shank provides positive chuck engagement and full hammer energy transfer without tool-free bit walk. Installation of this bit requires an SDS-Plus rotary hammer; do not use in standard keyed or keyless drill chucks. Before drilling near existing structure, verify rebar layout and embedded conduit locations using a rebar locator or plans to avoid unintended utility contact. Hammer drilling in concrete near electrical panels, existing conduit runs, or structural connections should follow applicable NEC and local building code requirements. Wear appropriate PPE including eye protection and hearing protection during operation.
