The ROBERT BOSCH TOOL GROUP HCBG12T is a carbide hammer drill bit engineered for demanding masonry applications. Part of the BluGranite Turbo series, this 3/8-inch diameter bit measures 6 inches in overall length with 4 inches of usable length and a 6-inch flute length. The hex shank diameter is 0.3125 inches, rated for use in both impact drivers and hammer drill/drivers. Bosch-made carbide construction and a robust bit head are designed to withstand heavy loads, while milled U-flutes with deep-cut spirals promote fast dust removal during drilling. This bit is sold in a 5-pack unit of measure.
The HCBG12T is intended for residential and commercial masonry work, including drilling into brick, block, concrete, and similar substrates. The multi-grind carbide centering tip allows accurate starts without walking on hard surfaces. The impact-rated hex shank adds versatility, allowing the bit to run in standard hammer drills, hammer drill/drivers, or impact drivers. It is suited for trade professionals and experienced users performing anchor setting, conduit pathway work, fixture mounting, and similar penetration tasks in masonry materials.
Designed for use in impact drivers and hammer drill/drivers accepting a hex shank. The 0.3125-inch hex shank fits standard quick-change and keyed chuck configurations rated for hammer and impact operation in masonry drilling applications.
Installation of masonry anchors or conduit penetrations using this bit is typically performed by licensed electricians, plumbers, or general contractors working in compliance with applicable building codes. Always power down and disconnect the tool before changing bits. Use appropriate eye protection and respiratory protection when drilling masonry, as silica dust is a regulated hazard under OSHA standards. Do not apply side-load pressure to the bit during operation, as this can accelerate shank wear or cause bit breakage.
