The BOSCH bmac4248bntf is a cased, multi-position evaporator coil from the BMAC Series, designed for residential split-system air conditioning and heat pump applications. Built with an all-aluminum construction, it ships with a factory-installed TXV metering device, eliminating the need for a field-supplied expansion valve. Rated at 4 nominal tons and compatible with R-410A refrigerant, this coil is sized for systems where reliable latent and sensible heat removal is required. The cased design simplifies installation in upflow, downflow, and horizontal configurations. Licensed HVAC technicians perform this type of installation during new construction or equipment changeout projects.
The bmac4248bntf is suited for residential and light-commercial split systems using R-410A refrigerant. Its multi-position capability makes it adaptable to a range of air handler and furnace orientations without requiring a separate coil casing. The unit features a multi-position drain pan to manage condensate regardless of orientation. It is intended for pairing with compatible outdoor condensing units in 4-ton system configurations.
Designed as an OEM-style cased evaporator coil for use in 4-ton R-410A split-system air conditioning and heat pump applications with compatible air handlers or furnaces.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in accordance with applicable mechanical codes and EPA Section 608 refrigerant handling regulations. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power and ensure the refrigerant circuit is properly recovered before opening any refrigerant connections. Verify that the liquid line connection at 3/4 inch and suction fitting at 3/4 inch are properly torqued and leak-checked after installation. Confirm condensate drain routing before startup to prevent pan overflow in the selected mounting orientation.
