The ROBERT BOSCH TOOL GROUP BM2002 is a fast spiral rotary masonry drill bit engineered for drilling into masonry, block, and brick using a standard rotary drill. The bit measures 5/32 inches in diameter with a 2-inch working length and 3-inch overall length. A double flute design accelerates material removal while the carbide head maintains edge life through repeated use in hard masonry substrates. Precision manufacturing tolerances help eliminate bit walking at the start of a hole. This bit is sold in a package of 5 and is suited for electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, and general contractors who need clean, accurate holes in masonry on the job site.
The BM2002 is designed for rotary drilling only — it is not rated for hammer or SDS drilling modes. It performs in both corded rotary drills and cordless drills operating in high-speed mode, making it practical for field work where hammer-drill access is limited or where the masonry substrate requires a lighter drilling approach. Typical applications include anchor hole placement in block or brick walls, conduit routing through masonry, and fixture mounting in residential and light commercial construction.
Designed for use with standard rotary drills in masonry, block, and brick applications. Not compatible with hammer drills or rotary hammer tools.
Installation should be performed by qualified tradespeople following applicable codes for anchor placement and penetration work. Confirm the drill is set to rotary-only mode before use — engaging the hammer function will damage this bit. Wear appropriate eye protection and a dust mask when drilling masonry, as fine silica particulate is generated. For deep holes, withdraw the bit periodically to clear debris from the flutes and prevent binding.
